Spring Window Mosaics

Need a little spring decoration......perfect!!!
Get some crayons, a cheese grater, wax paper, and a hot iron. It's so fun to watch the crayons melt and mix colors under the wax paper.
Just grate some bright spring colors of crayons, have your child sprinkle it onto their waxed paper. Fold the wax paper in half and run the iron over it. They can cut out their own decoration or you can draw a spring object for them to cut out.
In preschool we simply cut out flowers. Some of them ended up looking like clouds, but you get the idea.
Hang them up in your window and let the sun shine through and brighten up your house!!

I just found your blog and I am so impressed! I am excited to look through your archives and get some awesome ideas. I do a 21/2 hour preschool in my home 2 days a week. Is that the schedule you follow? It's hard to find someone that does that since most do daycare/preschool.

Jenna, I wasn't sure how to get a hold of you since your profile doesn't show....so I'll leave a comment on here and maybe you'll get it?? Anyway.....I actually do a 2 hour program 3 days a week. I don't currently update my blog since I'm not doing preschool during the summer. But it will start again in September. I love to help out with any questions or anything you might be in need of. Thanks for checking out my blog. I hope it helps in some way for you!
